John E. Caswell, 72, of Louisburg, Kansas passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 of natural causes. John was born August 8, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Clifford and Geraldine Caswell. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS England. Following his service years John was a police officer for the Frisco Railroad before becoming the Chief of Police for Louisburg. John loved hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Geraldine Caswell and brother, Frank. John is survived by his brother, Tim Caswell, two sons, John Caswell and Justin (Sylver) Caswell, three daughters, Sheri Polmanteer, Laura Mae Peters, Denise Polmanteer, 12 grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. Inurnment with Military Honors will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at Ft. Scott National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the American Legion Post 250 Hall Louisburg, KS.
