Joanne Carlson

Mrs. Carlson grew up in San Francisco California and has lived in Ottawa since 1976, moving here from Pleasant Hill, California. Joanne attended and graduated from Schools at San Francisco, California. While living in California she was a medical assistant for over twenty years. From 1977 to 2001 Joanne owned and operated the Sunflower Health Food Store in Ottawa. In 1942 she was united in marriage with Richard Kilbourn at California. They later divorced. Joanne later married Russell Carlson at California he preceded her in death in 1978. Survivors include a son, Peter Kilbourn, Walnut Creek, Calif.; daughters, Kathy Overton, Bend, Ore.; Nancy Hornbeck, Osawatomie; Lynn Ferguson, Ottawa; and Lisa Evans, Ottawa; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sisters. SERVICES: Cremation is planned and private inurnment services will be held at a later date at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.
