Jo Ann Walker

Jo Ann Walker, age 62, of Stilwell, Kansas, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at St. Luke"s South Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. Jo Ann was born August 2, 1949 at Laurel, Mississippi, the daughter of Evon and Annie (Musgrove) Walker. Jo Ann was the second born of their four children. She grew up in Shambaugh, Iowa and the family moved to Stilwell, Kansas in 1964. Jo Ann devoted her adult years to caring for her mother. She was a very caring person to everyone she knew. She loved to shop. Jo Ann also had a knack for crafts. She could look at something and make it herself, be it jewelry, coats, wreaths, blankets, bird houses, clothing, you name it. Although Jo Ann never had children of her own, her nieces and nephews meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her father who died April 9, 1999. She is survived by her mother Annie of the home; one sister Olivia Roney and her husband Glen of Bucyrus; two brothers Kenny and his wife Susan of Louisburg; Stanley and his wife Angie of Louisburg; her beloved canine companions Patty Cake, Teddy Bear, and Honey; and many nieces and nephews. Jo Ann"s nephews Clint Walker, Ryan Walker, Jade Walker, Nicholas Roney, Russell Roney, and Brady Walker will serve as casket bearers.
