Jessica Dawn Sligar

Jessica Dawn Sligar, age 29, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on Wednesday, January 28, 1981, in Gainesville, Texas. She was the daughter of Daniel and Connie (Coleman) Parker. She lived in Gainesville until 1982; Altoona, Kansas from 1983 to 1985; Independence, Kansas 1986 to 1998; returning to Gainesville in 1999 and Ottawa in 2006. She worked in food service for the Ottawa McDonald’s nine years and for two years she was in production for C.F.S. in Gardner. She was a member of Church of God in Neodesha, Kansas. In 1999 Jessica was united in marriage with Damien Sligar at Neodesha, Kansas. They later separated. She is survived by her: Parents-Daniel and Connie Parker of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter-Brook Sligar of Ottawa; Daughter-Chelsie Thomison of Dennison, Texas; Brother-Benjamin D. Coleman of Littlefield, Texas; Sister-Brandi J. Mathias of Ottawa, Kansas; Sister-Danielle R. Parker of Ottawa, Kansas; Maternal Grandfather-Don Coleman of Gainsville, Texas; Paternal Grandfather-Richard Winchester of Ottawa; SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
