Jesse Everett Swinehart age 70 of Overland Park Kansas formally of Paola passed away June 24th at the Shawnee Mission Hospital. Memorials to the Shawnee Mission Hospital Pastoral Department. Jesse was born on August 23, 1940 in Kansas City Kansas to Daniel and Irene Lindell Swinehart. He grew up in the surrounding communities and in 1961 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served until 1964. On November 26, 1965 he was united in marriage to Connie Macon in Paola. Together they had one son. They were married for 24 years before divorcing, but stayed best of friends. Jesse was a carpenter and worked for over 20 years for the Mark Kirk Construction Company of Blue Springs Missouri and later ventured out on his own. He was known for his fine finishing work and enjoyed building showcase homes through out the area. His hobbies were building model and remote controlled airplanes, drag racing motorcycles and cars, building furniture, hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed watching the history channel. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents,one brother George Swinehart, three sisters Elizabeth Immes, Patrica Meeker and Alta Smith. Surviving is his son Matthew Swinehart of Overland Park Kansas, Brothers Mike Swinehart of Paola, Joe Swinehart of Oklahoma, Sisters Edna Biddle of Oklahoma, Wanda Swinehart of Osawatomie and long time friend Connie Macon Swinehart.
