Jerry DuWayne Mundell, age 59, of Gardner, Ks passed away December 10, 2007 at his home. Jerry was born December 12, 1947 in Ottawa, Ks to Melvin Earl and Lucille Powell Mundell. He joined the US Navy in April of 1969 serving in the Vietnam War with HA(L)3 Seawolve helicopter gunship squadron with River Patrol Force TF-116. Jerry later worked for Gill Studios as a die cutter for 17 years before retiring in July of 2007. He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Henry on June 6, 1997 in Miami, Ok. Jerry was a Life member of the VFW and was a Past Commander of the Paola VFW. He very much enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He also was an avid Chiefs fan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Julie. Jerry leaves behind his wife Linda of the home, his sister Connie Anglan of Olathe, Ks, his stepsons; Steven Hood of Gardner, Ks. and Brian Tawney of Overland Park, Ks., also two grandchildren Kaleb Avery Tawney of Princeton Ks. and Destry Lee Hood of Tenn., a niece Michelle Meyer of Olathe, Ks., two nephews, BJ and Tyson Frye of Ok.
