Jennifer Elizabeth Spangler

Jennifer Elizabeth Spangler, 43, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 504 South Elm Street, Ottawa, and 6:00-8:00pm, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Elks Lodge, 114 South Second Street, Ottawa.

Jennifer was born Wednesday, June 10, 1981, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Steve and Gayle (Chartier) Norris.

She grew up in Ottawa, Kansas before moving to Liberal, Kansas in 1999 where she lived for two years. Jennifer then moved to Hooker, Oklahoma living there for eight years before moving back to Ottawa in 2009.

Jennifer graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1999. She received an Associates Degree in 2001 from Seward Community College. Jennifer also received a Bachelor of Science Degree from American University and a Juris Doctor Degree in 2016 from Washburn University.

She was united in marriage on May 18, 2018, in Ottawa, Kansas, to Chris Young. He survives of the home.

Jennifer was an Attorney owning and operating Spangler Law Office in Ottawa, Kansas, since 2017.

She was a member of CASA of the Fourth Judicial District.

Jennifer enjoyed crafting, reading, being outside in the sun, and motorcycle riding with Chris.

Along with her husband Chris, survivors include parents Steve and Gayle Norris of Ottawa, Kansas; seven children Austin Spangler (Alexis Sheldon) of Ottawa, Kansas, Anthony Spangler of Ottawa, Kansas, Andrew Spangler (Gracie Needham) of Ottawa, Kansas, Matthew Grammer (Hannah McQueen) of Garnett, Kansas, Bella Grammer (Alex Maxwell) of Baldwin City, Kansas, Jack Young (Maddy) of Pomona, Kansas, and Justin Davis of Overbrook, Kansas; sister Stephanie Valencia (Manny) of Ottawa, Kansas; seven grandchildren Harlan, MayElla, Everly, Aryzona, Hadleigh, Malanea, and Weston; nephew Michael; and nieces Eliza and Olivia.
