Jennie L. Chambers age 87 of Paola passed away at the Olathe Medical Center Fri. Memorials to the Plum Creek Methodist Church. Jennie was born Sept. 25, 1923 in Vernon Kansas to Charles Desmond and Anna Bell Myers Ricketts. She graduated from High School and attended two years at Kansas City Business College. On March 14, 1944 she was united in marriage to George L. Chambers in Ottawa Kansas. Jennie worked for many years while raising her family at the Osawatomie State Hospital as a Supervisor in Accounts Receivables, before retiring in 1988. After retirement she worked at the Miami County Hospital Gift Shop. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Plum Creek Methodist Church. Her hobbies were sewing, cooking, gardening, going on camping and fishing trips, reading, enjoyed game shows, helping financially charities and spending time with family and friends. Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Robert Chambers, one sister Hazel Boles and two brothers Roscoe Eugene Ricketts and J. Max Ricketts. Survivors are her daughter Vicky L. Merimee, of Gardner KS., son Richard L. Chambers and wife Peggy of Parker, KS., 4 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She will be dearly missed by family and friends
