Jeffrey L. “Flash” Gordon, 48, of Lawrence, Kansas, formerly of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends following the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa. Jeff was born Tuesday, October 24, 1967, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, the son of Billy and Sandra (Bales) Gordon. He lived in Ottawa, moving to Lawrence, in 1999. He attended Ottawa High School with the class of 1986. Flash was employed as a residential rough and finish carpenter for John Wise Construction, Weimholt Construction, and Yokum Construction. For the last five years, he was employed as a forklift operator with Packerware-Berry Plastics of Lawrence. Flash enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and playing Xbox. Survivors include his mother, Sandy Gordon of Ottawa; siblings, Tina Rossi and husband Dean of Ottawa, Theresa Yohe and husband Bob Redeker of Ottawa, and Katherine Burke also of Ottawa; nephew, Brian Ferguson and wife Michelle, niece, Jennifer Quinlan and husband John, niece, Kelli Bishop, nephew, Brandan Yohe, niece, Christin Yohe, niece, Veronica Bueno, and nephew, Keegan Burke. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gordon; and nephew, Tomas Bueno. The family suggests memorial contributions to Jeff Gordon Memorial Fund c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
