Jean Everhart age 88 of Paola passed away at the Miami County Hospital on Monday evening August 10th, 2009. Services are Sat. Aug. 15, at 11:00AM with visitation from 10 to 11:00AM Penwell-GAbel Chapel, burial Wagstaff Cemetery. Memorials to the Mark Everhart Fund or the Alzheimers Asc. Beulah Jean Everhart was born on Oct. 25, 1920 to Roy T. and Edith Vivian Faulkner Richardson in Gridley, Kansas. Jean attended Osawatomie High School and on Oct. 23, 1938 she was united in marriage to Dale Everhart at a friend's home in Virgil Kansas. They moved to the Everhart family farm in Rural Paola in 1938 where she raised chickens and sold eggs while her husband farmed. She was a member of the Wagstaff Social Club, First Presbyterian Church, Wild Bunch Supper Club at the Paola Country Club, Olathe Trail Riders, Elks, Eagles Club and several bridge clubs. Jean enjoyed bowling, canning, playing bridge, dancing, an avid jeopardy watcher, enjoyed teaching her kids and grandchildren how to play cards, and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents 3 brothers, Rex, Bud, and Dale Richardson, and great grandson Nicholas. Survivors are her husband Dale of Paola, son Rick Everhart of Garnett, son Alan and wife Lisa Everhart of Paola, son Larry and wife Carol Everhart of Paola, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her husband and family.
