Jean A. Passantino

Jean A. Passantino, age 77, of Richmond, Kansas, died Monday, January 11, 2010. She was born on Saturday, April 9, 1932, in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was the daughter of Robert Mathias and Ruby Wave (VanCleve) Kirkhuff. She was a resident of Richmond since 1981, moving from Moran, Kansas. She previously lived in Hutchinson and Wichita, Kansas, and California. Jean attended schools in California. She was a nurse’s aide in Wichita. In 1973, she and her husband operated an upholstery business, known as “Tack and Hammer”, in Moran and Richmond. They also operated PB Imports in Richmond. She attended Richmond United Methodist Church. On November 7, 1949, Jean was united in marriage with Earl Wesley Dyche in Hutchinson, Kansas. They were later divorced. On April 15, 1973, Jean was united in marriage with Joe R. Passantino in Wichita, Kansas. He survives of their home. She is survived by her: Husband-Joe R. Passantino of the home Daughter-Vicki Lee (Dyche) Conner and her husband, Jim, of Brunswick, Maryland Brother-Daniel M. Kirkhuff of Wichita, Kansas Brother-William J. Kirkhuff of California She is precede in death by her: Parents-Robert Mathias and Ruby Wave (VanCleve) Kirkhuff Daughter-Mary Ellen Dyche Sister-Wave (Kirkhuff) Hauschild Sister-Luella (Kirkhuff) Meyer Sister-Margaret (Kirkhuff) Delgado Brother-Robert M. Kirkhuff, Jr. SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010. IN STATE: Cremation is planned.
