The angel that God gave us is Jaymeelyn Elizabeth Austin; she was born Saturday 2/11/2012 via cesarean section 18 days before her scheduled date at Overland Park Regional to the proud parents of James Don Austin and Courtney Martha Maupin. She weighed 7 lb. 9.3 oz, was 19 1/2 inches long, with red hair and blue eyes. Jaymeelyn was a gymnast and had wrapped her cord around her neck twice and tied it in a knot. This resulted in a lack of heartbeat before delivery. She was loved from the first second she surprised us in the womb. Every family member showed us their support and love from the beginning and continues to. Grandpa Mike E. Austin and Grandma Penny rushed to our side to love and cherish who had been taken so quickly from us all. Everyone’s support with the cost of preparing for her and the love has been continuous. Grandpa Don C. Maupin aided in the caring of her siblings in our time of need. They have been there to console and support us for that we are dearly thankful. Jaymeelyn is a beautiful angel that took on a life of her own. Not only was she as active as could be, she was strong. There were no complications through our very extensive prenatal care. Her heartbeat could be found with a glass right up to the end. The heartburn she shared was without fail to be the downfall of the pregnancy. She disliked the cold; milk shakes, ice water, ice packs etc.… James and I often fought over what she would look like. James won the red hair was inevitable. She also was born with his feet. But she shares the nose and the hands of me and her siblings. Every way you look at her she is perfect. We could never have asked for more. There were so many people that came to the hospital to visit, love and hold her. They are all appreciated. Jaymeelyn is survived by her parents, brother, Kiethlee Miles Maupin, and sister, Contessa Jane Rachell VanGaasbeek, all of the home; maternal grandfather, Donald Charles Maupin of Ottawa, Kansas; paternal grandfather, Michael E.
