Jay C. Clark, 60, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. Family will meet with friends to celebrate the life of Jay on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Grace Community Fellowship, 501 S. Poplar, Ottawa. Inurnment Deay Cemetery, Eudora, Kansas, will be held at a later date. Jay was born April 13, 1961, at Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Lyle W. and Mary M. (Kalb) Clark. He grew up in Baldwin City, Kansas, moving in 1988 to Ottawa. He graduated from Baldwin City High School with the class of 1979 and attended one year at Kansas State University. On April 8, 1994, Jay was united in marriage to Angie Kennard in Ottawa. She survives of the home. Jay was a lifelong farmer. He was also currently employed with Mac Fasteners in Ottawa as a Quality Inspector for the last 21 years. In the mid-1990’s he was a plant operator at the Sylvester Ranch and in the late 1980’s to early 1990’s he worked maintenance at Franklin Savings. He attended Grace Community Fellowship and was a member of the Ottawa Jaycees for many years. Jay enjoyed farming, tractor pulls, antique tractor pulls, and garden tractor pulls. He also enjoyed four wheelers, working on his 67 Camaro, and completing unfinished projects. Spending time with his family and grandchildren was always important and he looked forward to their time together. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include three sons, Branden Clark of Garnett, Zac Clark and Tucker Clark both of Ottawa; sister Sandy (Kerry) Kramer of McLouth, Kansas; and two grandchildren, Adalyn and Brayden Clark.
