Janis K Gress

Janis Gress, age 55 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, June 4, 2010 at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born on Saturday, April 16, 1955 in Camden, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Taylor) Depaola. She was a resident of Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, for the past fifteen years. Janis graduated from a Continuation School in Ramona, California in 1973. For the past twenty years she has worked at various fast food restaurants. On November 19,1984 Janis was united in marriage with Mark Gress at Rocksprings, Wyoming, they later divorced. She is survived by her: Brother - Steve Depaola of Rocksprings, WY; Brother – Chris Depaola of San Diego, CA; Brother – Tom Depaola of San Diego, CA; Sister – Lynn Morretti of Mountain View, WY; Sister – Toni Depaola of Baldwin City, KS; Sister – Terri Metz of Gentry, AR; Niece’s – Terri Fluke, Rosa Andrews; Jessica Otto; Baeley Byers; Martha Garcia; Jamie Salinas; Melinda Christofferson; Madaline Depaola; Christina Morretti. Nephews – Carl Otto; Justin Golay; Kleyton Byers; Frank Depaola; Michael Morretti; Nicolette Depaola; Christopher Depaola, Jr. She was preceded in death by her: parents – Charles and Mary (Taylor) Depaola and a son- Blake Gress. SERVICES: Memorial Funeral Services will be held at Dengel and Son Mortuary, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
