Janice Pennington

March 24, 1944 — May 19, 2015

Janice Ann Pennington Resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord, Janice Ann Pennington was relieved of her pain and suffering on May 19th, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. Janice was born on March 24th, 1944 in Overland Park, Kansas, the daughter of Murvel H. Franse and Maxine Nelson, and was a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Missouri. Janice"s greatest passion in life was her family. Her whole life revolved around her husband, her two daughters and her son in laws and all her grandchildren. Janice was a practical joker and was known by her family as a goofball. She always had an ornery gleam in her eyes. She was forever laughing and giggling, especially when her sisters were around. She had an infamous sweet tooth, so much so that her family now worries about the M&M Mars Co. going out of business without her purchases. Janice loved being outdoors. She loved camping with her family every year and she loved planting wildflower gardens. After Janice retired she enjoyed taking long walks with her husband. They kept track of how long they walked each day and after the first year and a half they could have walked to California and half way back. She was preceded in death by her father Murvel Franse and mother Maxine Nelson. She is survived by her husband Freeman Pennington and her daughters Sheila Wieberg (Gary) Raymore, MO, Shamera Malekyar (Kamran) Lenexa, KS, her seven grandchildren, Christy Ogren, Penny Osborn, Anni Bryant, Maleri and Emali Malekyar, Joseph and Timothy Wieberg, and her seven great grandchildren, Jackson, Abby, Kenzie, Aiden, Sophie, Levi and Lilly her two sisters Sandra Zumwalt and Karen Nannen and her good friend Marilyn Clawson and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. All who are left with a huge hole in their hearts. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. The family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer"s Association.
