Jane Mcbride

Jane was born on Oct. 28, 1950 in Colby, KS to Ed and Stella Bixenman Krannawitter. She was raised on her parents farm near Granfield, KS and graduated from high school in Hoxie, KS. She attended Colby Community Junior College and then received her teaching degree from Fort Hays State University. On July 22, 1972 Jane was united in marriage to Roger "Lynn" McBride. They have lived their lives together in Pratt, KS, Oakley, KS, Medicine Lodge, KS, and for the last 14 years in Paola, KS. Jane was a devoted teacher and tutor to elementary and middle school children for 39 years. She retired from teaching at Paola Middle School in 2011. Jane kept a tidy and loving home for her husband and children and was fond of her flowers and the family pets. She enjoyed attending events involving her family whether it be through the school, civic organizations, or sporting events. Jane took pleasure in shopping and traveling with her family. She is preceded in death by her father Ed Krannawitter, one brother Mark Krannawitter, and one niece Mandy Bell. Survivors are her husband Lynn, sons Brent and Ty McBride, daughter Kelsie and her husband Jace Kirk, granddaughter Kailynn Kirk all of Paola. She is also survived by her mother Stella Krannawitter of Hoxie, KS, sisters Karen Kraft of Salina, KS, LaDonna Bell of Helena, MT, and Kathy Vaughn of Colby, KS; brothers Terry Krannawitter of Hays, KS, Keith Krannawitter of Olathe, KS, and Bill Krannawitter of Enid, OK, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and the friends that Lynn and her had gained throughout their lives.
