Jamey Andrews

Jamey Andrews, 54, of Waverly, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 9, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Sunday, October 8, 2017, at the mortuary. Cremation will take place prior to services. Her final resting place will be Mount Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas, at a later date. Jamey was born Thursday, January 31, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of James and Ellen (Bird) Reedy. She grew up in Kansas City, moving to Williamsburg, Kansas, where she lived for twenty-seven years. In 2004, Jamey moved to Waverly, Kansas where she made her home until her death. She attended Williamsburg High School with the class of 1981 and continued her education at Emporia State University. Jamey was united in marriage to Richard Andrews September 3, 1979, in Williamsburg. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her five children, Angie Johnson and husband Doug, Terri Andrews, Reneé Collins, Jesse Andrews, and Victoria Andrews all of Waverly; three siblings, Shirley Hughes and husband Gary of Williamsburg, Sande Reedy of Waverly, and Curt Reedy of Ottawa; and five grandchildren, Morgan Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, Erica Foley, Wade Collins and Seth Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ellen Reedy; brothers, Jack Reedy and Jerry Reedy; sister, Patricia Blalock; and son-in-law, Chad Collins. She was employed by H&R Block as a tax preparer for 12 years. Jamey loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings and attending the grandchildren’s activities. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
