James Ross Reed

James Ross Reed, 90, of Paola, KS passed away Nov. 28 at Olathe Medical Center. Ross was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up in Webster Groves. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Forces. He attended Washington University in St. Louis where he met his wife, Lorraine. He retired from TWA after 35 years as a flight engineer and pilot. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, singing in choirs, and restoring old cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorraine, brother Robert and sister Polly. He is survived by his children, James (Jo Ann) Reed Jr., Barbara (Joe) Hicks, Thomas (Chalen) Reed, and three grandchildren. James leaves behind a legacy of generosity, faithfulness, and compassion.
