James "Mike" Michael McNeary, age 70, of Cleveland, MO, died September 17, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. He was born November 16, 1941 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Clement and Dorothy (Weldon) McNeary. He was united in marriage to Paula Miller on February 1, 1980 at St. Mary"s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, MO. Mike worked for Independence Power & Light for twenty years as an Electronic Technician before retiring in 2005. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mike and his wife Paula own a farm in the Cleveland, MO area where they enjoyed raising cattle and farming for the past 30 years. He loved spending time with his cows, and he was an avid fly fisherman and loved fishing the streams and rivers of Wyoming and Montana. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Michael J. McNeary and Steven J. McNeary. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Paula McNeary, Cleveland, MO; two sons, Joseph D. McNeary and wife Christine, Maryland Heights, MO; and Paul B. McNeary, Mobile, Alabama; four grandchildren, Katie, Joshua, Michael, Jr. and Kristen; one great granddaughter, Isabella; one brother, Jerome S. McNeary and wife Trish; one sister, Janet Forlow and husband Ted; several nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the KSDS, Inc. (Kansas Specialty Dog Service) or Agape Christian Food Pantry.
