James E. Stewart

James E. “Jim” Stewart was born February 1, 1961, at Ottawa, Kansas. He was the son of Ralph Dean and Kathryn L. (Teter) Stewart. A lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident, he made his home in Ottawa, until his death Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the age of fifty-one years. Jim attended Appanoose Grade School and Pomona High School; he assisted on the family farm and attended Community Foursquare Church in Ottawa. He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Stewart of Ottawa; sister, Bonnie Ramsey and her husband Kent of Ottawa; sister, Linda Tate and her husband Lawrence of Lawrence, Kansas; brother, David Stewart and Maria of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; aunt, Barbara Williams of Ottawa; aunt, Patsy Parker and her husband Bill of Forsyth, Missouri; uncle, Homer Teter and Janice of Neosho, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Dean Stewart on November 21, 2003; and uncle, Ray Marvin Stewart. SERVICES: Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2012, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, west of Centropolis, Kansas. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Stewart at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2012. Family will meet with friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Friday morning, and then travel in procession to the cemetery for graveside services. CEMETERY: Interment, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Centropolis, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Community Foursquare Church or Prairie Paws c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
