James E. Elms, 70, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at his home. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton. Jim was born Thursday, October 18, 1951, in Brighton, Colorado, the son of Paul and Gladys Elms. He was a resident of Princeton, Kansas for the last 12 years moving here from Hesperia, California where he lived for many years. Jim graduated from Brighton High School, Brighton, Colorado with the class of 1969. He was united in marriage to Lana Wilson November 18, 1981, in Thorton, Colorado. She survives of the home. Jim was a lifelong heavy equipment operator for the oil and pipeline industry. He was a member of the Local 12 Operating Engineers of Pasadena, California. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley motorcycle. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, son, Matthew and brothers, Steve Elms and Michael Elms. Survivors include children, Jerrod Elms (Renee) of Chappell, Nebraska, Justin Fuller of Semmes, Alabama; brothers, Jeff Elms, Joe Elms, Bob Elms and Danny Elms; sister, Susan Elms; three grandchildren, Alanna Fuller, Marilynn Fuller and Abby Fuller and five great grandchildren.
