James E. `Jimmy` Hollon, Jr., 62, of Pomona, Kansas died on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at his home in Pomona, Kansas. He was the son of James and Betty Jean (Caleb) Hollon. He was born on Sunday, October 28, 1944, in, Ottawa, Kansas. Jimmy was a life-long Franklin County resident, living in Ottawa, Rantoul and Pomona. He attended schools in Ottawa and Pomona. Jimmy was a commercial and residential painting contractor. In the 1960`s he was employed at the Sunflower Ammunition Plant at DeSoto, Kansas. Jimmy loved his family and always had a smile on his face. He looked forward to fishing when he had time. His hobbies included woodworking and mushroom hunting in the Chippewa Hills of Franklin County. Survivors include: Son-Jim Hollon and his wife Sarah of Garnett, Kan. Son-Scotty Ray Hollon and his wife Catherine of Denver, Colo. Sister-Patty M. Markley and her husband George of Ottawa, Kan. Sister-Grace Wertenberger and her husband Donald of Hays, Kan. Sister-Clio Elrod and her husband Roger of Pomona, Kan. Grandson-Derick Hollon Granddaughter-Kristy Hollon Grandson-Matthew Hollon Granddaughter-Caroline Hollon He was preceded in death by: Father-James Ernest Hollon Mother-Betty Jean (Caleb) Hollon Brother-Richard C. Hollon SERVICES: Mr. Hollon was cremated. A casual Celebration of Life will be held from Muncie Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2007. CEMETERY: Muncie Cemetery.
