James Alan Houston died November 28,2015 at his home. The family will celebrate his life with a gathering at Carnegie Cultural Center, Ottawa Kansas on Sunday, December 13 from 3 to 5 pm. The family requests no flowers. James Alan Houston was born March 7, 1952 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma the fourth son of Bruce Edward Houston and Edith Louise Baxendale Houston. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers; Robert, John and Richard Houston. He is survived by his wife, Debra Cooper and daughter, Courtney Houston of Ottawa, Kansas and his sister-in-law Donna Houston of Overland Park, numerous nieces , nephews and great nieces and nephews. He received his BS from Arizona State University and spent his career working as a Network Specialists/Project Manager in the Information Technology field. He enjoyed traveling and throughout his career lived in Phoenix, Kansas City, Houston and Atlanta before retiring to be in Ottawa with his wife and daughter while she finished high school and entered college.
