James A. Palmer, age 67, of Ottawa, Kan., died Wednesday, September 17, 2003, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kan. . He has lived in Ottawa since 1999, moving from Hutchinson, where he had lived since 1990. He also lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Olathe and Kansas City, Kansas. Jim graduated from Colstrip (Montana) High School with the class of 1953. He was a graduate of School of Radiologic Technology, Kansas City General Hospital in 1971. He was formerly director of the x-ray department of Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, since 1999, and currently, x-ray technician at Ransom Memorial. In the mid 1990's, he was director of radiology at Riverside Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. In the late 1970's to 1980's, he was a sales representative for Toshiba Medical Systems. In the late 1970's, he was director of patient services at St. Joseph Hospital, Bloomington, Illinois. Mr. Palmer served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1964, attaining the rank of Air Controlman Third Class. He was a member and former president of the Kansas State Society of Radiologic Technologists and former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Hutchinson, Kansas. In August of 1975, Jim was united in marriage with Sue Spangler at Chase, Kansas. They later divorced. On March 15, 2002, Jim was united in marriage with Deborah
