Jacqulyne Marie (Hollon) Eads was born January 22, 1940, in Ottawa, Kansas, and passed on August 30, 2022.

Jacque was one of ten children born to James William Hollon and Opal (Harris) Hollon. She grew up in Ottawa and was a life-long resident, graduating with Ottawa High School class of 1958. She soon married John Philip Tomberlin and they had three daughters: Lisa, Julie, and Rhonda.

Jacque worked various jobs in Ottawa; Crown Drugstore, Dairy Queen, King Radio, HD Lee, Ottawa University, Bendix King/Honeywell and Front Porch Antiques.

On February 18, 1982, she married Louis Clarence Eads, enjoying seventeen years together until Louis’s passing. Together, they enjoyed being with family, camping, fishing, traveling, and occasionally enjoying their favorite pastime at a bingo hall or casino.

Later, she worked downtown, and was often the first smile seen, when you entered Front Porch Antiques. She was well known for her cinnamon apple cider and her delicious cheese balls. Jacque found so much joy in taking care of her and Louis’ beloved dog Leo Eads, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Jacque is survived by her sister, Rosemary Yohe (Hollon) of Ottawa, Kansas, daughters, Lisa Marie Copeland (Ben), Rhonda Crawley (CJ); stepdaughters, Vickey Crowley, Debra Farquhar (Frank), Lisa Chaney (Curt), Kimmy Cantrell (David Hedrick), stepsons, Danny Eads (Anita) and daughter-in-law, Teresa Eads. Grandchildren, Tiffany Bouska (Michael), Dustin Petty (Amber), Crystal Petty (Jeffery), Tyler Tomberlin (Saidee), Gage Esquivel, Nicole Crawley (Joey), Chase Crawley (Kassie), Hunter Crawley, Bill Crowley (Jennifer), Richard Crowley (Krystal), Eric Crowley (Carissa), Leslie Payne (Cindy), Wanda Roby (Trace), Courtney Gilbreath (Steve), Kerry Jo Eads, Caleb Eads, Jamee Engelby (Daniel), Teree Dowd (James), Anthony Martinez (Torie), Bianca (Kerry Kennedy) Eads, Kiersten Eads, Cody Cantrell (Amanda), Camie Richter (Terry), Crystal Wisdom, Anna Shobe, and countless great grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Jacque is preceded in death by; her husband, Louis Clarence Eads, her daughter, Julie Ann Tomberlin, her stepdaughter, Mary Wisdom, her stepson, Dennis Eads, her parents, James and Opal Hollon, her brothers, Ernest, Robert, Kenneth, George, and Jerry Hollon along with her sisters, Fern Elizabeth (Hollon) Yohe, Virginia Mae (Hollon) Payne, and Bonietta Fern (Hollon) Anderson.

A visitation for family and friends will be at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas, on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Jacque’s Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, September 3rd between 4:00 and 8:00pm at Forest Park. This is a potluck event, so bring sides or a dessert, along with your memories of Jacque to share. Feel free to come and go anytime during the hours listed, we want to ensure that everyone has a chance to honor a life well lived.

In her final resting place, Jacque will be interred next to Louis at Hope Cemetery, the date of which will be announced shortly.
