Jacqueline E. (White) Carter, age 74, of Wichita, Kan., died Monday, August 23, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita, Kan. She was the daughter of the late Richard White and the late Marguerite (Cherry) White. She is also survived by her Two Daughters, Daughter-Terry Carter of Ottawa, Kan. Daughter & friend-Pamela Carter & Charles Terrell of Wichita, Kan. Three Sons, Son & daughter-in-law-Gary & Willene Carter of Wichita, Kan. Daughter & son-in-law-Brenda & Darryl Huggins of Wichita, Kan. Son & daughter-in-law-Rollo & Trudy Carter of Wichita, Kan. One Brother, Brother-Richard E. White, Jr. of Ottawa, Kan. She grew up in California and lived in Ottawa all her life, until retiring to Wichita in 1999. Jacqueline attended California and Ottawa schools. She was a housewife and a CNA. She was employed at Ransom Memorial Hospital and Cedar House Nursing Home, both of Ottawa, and did private duty nursing before she became ill. She was a member of Bethany Chapel of Ottawa. Upon rededicating her life, she became a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Wichita. In October of 1947, Jacqueline was united in marriage with Rollo L. Carter at Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1979. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. John Edwards of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Carter at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 5:00 p.m. Thursday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Friday evening.
