Jacob Tyler Streff

Jacob Tyler Streff was 28 years old when he passed away on December 31, 2021. He was born on January 18, 1993, in North Charleston, South Carolina. Although Jacob was known by several nicknames: Jake, Jay, JT – he was known by all as the same outgoing and tender-hearted guy. He was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and only recently moved to Liberty, Kansas. He enjoyed rural living much more than city life and commented as such often. Jake, as his family lovingly referred to him, had a “larger than life” personality and absolutely loved working with people. He was almost always the life of the party everywhere he went. His passion was finding what people really needed at the best rate possible… and he was amazing at it! He was working for Schenck Insurance, LLC when he passed and often remarked on how much he enjoyed both his career and his coworkers. Jake loved cooking! He would create the most unusual but the most delicious meals anyone could ever think of. Ever tried a grilled cheese with Caesar dressing instead of butter? Jacob loved it! And believe me it was delicious. He always knew where the good restaurants were and what the best dishes were to order. Of course, Jacob also loved the outdoors. He loved target practice with his bow or his rifle, taking pictures of nature’s beauty, and he enjoyed the occasional camping trip. He always took time to read a good book, and if the weather permitted, he would do so outside. Survivors are his parents, Shayne and Tiffoni Arthur, and his younger brother, Gary Arthur. He is also leaving behind his very cherished, best friend in the world, Michael Marler. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Dengel & Son in Paola, KS from 2pm - 4pm. The family welcomes all to come join them in celebrating Jake's life and share the wonderful memories they have of him.
