Jack Glaze

Jack Curtis Glaze, age 83 of Paola, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 under the care of Oddysey Hospice at the North Point Nursing Home in Paola. Jack was born Feb. 22, 1927 in Lamar, Missouri to John and Rose Lee Feezell Glaze. He grew up in the Lamar area where he attended public school. On Nov. 30, 1946 Jack was united in marriage to Virginia Louise Miller in Mound City Kansas. They have made their home in Paola since 1947, where Jack commuted to work at the Delco Battery Plant in Olathe for 30 years at various duties for the company, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed going to auctions, playing cards with his brothers and family, flea markets, fishing, tinkering with things and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter Laura Glaze. Survivors are his wife, Virginia, of the home; son, John Glaze of the home; daughter, Diana Lee and husband Gean Brown Jr. of Paola; four brothers, Willard Lee Glaze of Pappinsville, Mo,.James Richard Glaze of Harrisonville, MO, Alva Gail Glaze of LaCygne, Earl Francis Glaze of LaCygne; and a sisterl, Mary Lou Sparks of LaCygne; two grandchildren, Casey and Coby Brown; and three great grandchildren; Kyle, Kaitlyn, and Alison Brown. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
