Jack Gainer

Jack Gainer, age 58, of Paola, Kansas passed away Wednesday July 9, 2014 unexpectedly at his home. Jack was born July 18, 1955 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He was raised by Opal and Alfonso Gainer, Sr. He was united in marriage to Brenda Parrish in Kansas City, Missouri on May 28, 1977. They made their home in Paola. He was owner and operator of J-B-J Enterprises Trucking Company since 2003. His hobbies were taking road trips, spending time with his grandchildren, playing with his dogs and collecting eagles and toy trucks. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, birth mother, Joan Hughes and two brothers, Burl and Vurl Bland. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home; son Jake (Kandas) Gainer; daughters, Kristina (Dan) Ellis and Katie (Jeremy) Martin; sister, Lelia Morgan; brothers, Edwin Gainer, Alfonso Gainer, Jr., David Stewart, Doug Stewart and James Hughes; and 12 grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. The family will continue the celebration after the visitation at the Hillsdale Township Hall, 216 Central, Hillsdale, KS.
