Isaac Michael Scroggie age 24, passed away March 26, 2018 in Pensacola Florida. He is the son of Carl and Becky Durdee Scroggie. Isaac Michael Scroggie was born in Manhattan, KS on April 8, 1993. He grew up in Paola, KS, and attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and Paola High School. He graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Graphic Communications in 2016. Over the years he worked as a lifeguard; in the recent past, the printing industry. Isaac died unexpectedly on March 27, 2018 at the age of 24. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Daniel Scroggie. He will be remembered with full hearts by his mother and father, Rebecca and Carl; little sister, Nora Rose and his older sisters, Isabelle and Natalie; grandparents, Robert and Christine Durdee, Eileen Locke, and Jesse Scroggie. He was very special to many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Always unabashedly himself; a truly unique individual who kept everyone laughing with his never-ending antics. Isaac thwarted every attempt at a decent family picture and sported many different hairstyles over the years, much to the chagrin of his mother and anyone with eyes: mullet, mustache, and rat-tail, to name a few. He was an artist. Growing up he was always drawing, usually medieval subjects or monsters (often with a sensitive side). Isaac was stubborn and determined. He practiced incessantly to get things just right. A collector of hobbies, many ridiculous: unicycling, pancake-making, table tennis, playing the banjo, and hatchet-throwing. Isaac also enjoyed video games, fishing, skateboarding, and was involved in theatre and forensics in high school. An active mind typically engaged in creative endeavors, Isaac was constantly developing new characters for his Super Plaid improv team or bouncing around funny ideas to anyone within earshot. His favorite role was big brother. How fitting that his name means “laughter”. The happy memories and love he leaves in his wake will continue to swell for years to come.
