Ione Elizabeth Ribeau

Ione Elizabeth Ribeau, 86, Ottawa, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at Richmond Care Center. She was born March 12, 1919, at Osborne to John and Alice (Mardoch) Berger. She was a near-lifelong resident of Pomona, moving to Ottawa in 1985. She was a homemaker and helped her husband with work on the farm. She married Carl W. Ribeau June 18, 1938, at Lawrence. He preceded her in death June 13, 1970. Survivors include daughters, Kathleen Hall, Nevada, Mo.; Alice Miller, Pomona; sons, Max Ribeau, Pomona; Russell Ribeau, Ottawa; sisters, Melba Homewood, Luray; Weltha Adams, Mundelein, Ill.; and brother, Clyde Berger, Lindsey, Calif. She was preceded in death by brothers, Merton Berger, Elvis Berger and Gordon Berger; and sisters, Hazel Wilson and Beverly Berger. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2006. CEMETERY: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, west of Centropolis, Kansas.
