Herbert L. West, III, 47, of Paola, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Cremation is planned by Dengel & Son Mortuary with graveside services and inurnment to be announced later. Inurnment Mt. Calvary, Ottawa, Kansas. He was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1966, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Herbert West, Jr. and Linda Poore. Herbert has lived in the Paola, Kansas City and Ottawa areas since 2007. He graduated from Spring Hill High School, Spring Hill, Kansas with the class of 1984. Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Rebecca West of Holden, Missouri, and Christy Ubelaker of Shawnee, Kansas; five nephews; and two nieces. Herbert worked for Coffeyville Regional Hospital in ICU as a monitor technician for 1 and ½ years. He also worked as a cook. Herbert will be remembered as a kind and caring person who loved his family. He will be missed and remain in the hearts and thoughts of his family and friends forever.
