RESIDENCE HISTORY: Mr. Hill has lived in Ottawa since 1974, moving from Wichita, Kansas. Earlier, he had lived in California. OCCUPATION & BUSINESS: From 1937 to retirement in 1974, he worked in the aircraft industry, as a tubing specialist in aircraft assembly. For most of his career, Herb worked for Boeing and Learjet in Wichita, Kansas. He also worked for Lockeed and McDonald Douglas in California. He was the first Animal Control Officer for B. Martin Peck Animal Shelter, Ottawa, from 1946 to 1948. GOVERNMENT SERVICE: He served as a Private in the United States Army from 1934 to 1937. MARRIAGE: On November 23, 1939, Herb was united in marriage with Helen F. Davis at Hollywood, California. She survives of their home. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet for graveside services at Princeton Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2005. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Duane Pedrow. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Hill at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday to the service hour. CEMETERY: Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas.
