Heather Leigh Briggs, age 23, of Paola, Kansas died July 21, 2017. Heather was born October 4, 1993 at Rogers, Arkansas. Her family moved to Paola when Heather was 10 years old. She attended school in Paola. Heather was a very devoted daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Heather possessed a smiled and a laugh that would light up any room. She loved all types of music, loved the outdoors and activities such as canoeing, camping, and swimming. Heather was always there when a friend was in need to help in any way she could. She was extremely outgoing and outspoken. Even though she was outspoken her honesty was respected. Most were unaware that she truly wore her heart on her sleeve but protected herself by projecting strength. Her pride and joy was her "mini-me" Lilly, also known as Lillybug. She's been working so hard to be what she considered as worthy of such a special gift. Heather will be greatly missed and is loved by so many people. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Frank T. Carpenter, III. She is survived by her six-year-old daughter Lilly Maddison Rhoades-Briggs; her mother Kimberly Hendrickson and step-father Robert Hendrickson; brother Bryce Briggs, uncles Kevin Carpenter (Amanda) and Frank Carpenter; grandmother Sharel Carpenter; cousins Myranda, Kevin II, Mitch, Amber, and Ashley Carpenter; a multitude of friends and extended family.
