Hazel Lee Crumm, 89, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Ottawa, died Friday, November 28, 2014, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Cremation is planned. Family will meet with friends at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment Hope Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Hazel was born Tuesday, February 3, 1925 in Rantoul, Kansas, the daughter of Enos and Grace (Burnett) Honn. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident, moving to Olathe in June of 2010. Hazel Lee attended Ottawa High School. Hazel Lee was united in marriage with Ted Crumm June 6, 1941, in Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death June 6, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Daniel and David Crumm; and brother, Vernon Honn. Survivors include her sister, Shirley Eisenbise and her husband, Charles of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Harold Honn and his wife, Betty of Bella Vista, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Imogene Honn of Ottawa; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She worked thirty-seven years as a seamstress at H.D. Lee in Ottawa and also worked as a caregiver for many years. Hazel Lee was a member of First Assembly of God in Ottawa, serving as Sunday school secretary, a past member of Ransom Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Four Season Garden Club and served as president of the Oasis Club, all in Ottawa.
