Harry Perez

Harry George Perez age 60 passed away at his home on Thursday March 6th Memorial Service will be 4:00PM Friday March 14, at the Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel 305 N. Pearl Paola, Kansas 66071. Hary was born August 23, 1947 in Vinita Oklahoma to Harry and Virginia Maxine Fritts Perez. Harry graduated from High School in Iola Kansas in 1965. He entered the United States Navy in September of 1965, serving on the USS St.Paul Battle Ship and did three tours in Vietnam. He was honorable discharge September of 1969. After being discharged he entered fire service training on the east coast and became a firefighter. He also worked at the Snflower Amunition Plant in DeSoto and later became a car salesman for Olathe Ford and recentley for the Saturn of Olathe dealership. He was united in marraige to Julie Stamper in Olathe on September 11, 1992. Harry lived in Johnson County before moving to Paola in 1995. Survivors are his wife Julie of the home, son, Jason Perez of Oklahoma, grandchild Alexis Perez, step daughter, Kristina VanHorn of North Kansas City, step daughter, Lee Vance of Portland Oregon, sister, Marjorie Diebolt of Seaside Oregon, brother, Carl Perez of Independence, MO., brother Bill Perez of Olathe, and in-laws Selwyn and Sylvia Stamper of Melbourne, Austrailia. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
