Harry David Rybolt

November 14, 1915 — February 10, 2007

Harry David Rybolt was born on Sunday, November 14, 1915, in Grant City, Missouri. He was the son of Leroy and Tessa (Rowen) Rybolt. A lifelong resident, Harry made his home in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, until his death on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the age of ninety-one years. Harry graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1935. Harry was assistant manager for Budge`s Hardware in Ottawa from 1950 to retirement in the mid 1980`s. In 1938, he was employed at Robe`s Hardware; also, Goss and Gentner; and Ross Mill during World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ottawa. On March 20, 1938, Harry was united in marriage with Alice Blake in Wichita, Kansas. She survives of their home. He is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Barbara Rybolt of Overland Park, KS, Alan and Linda Rybolt of Warroad, MN; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Tom Hickman of Ottawa, KS; brother, Denzel A. Rybolt of Ottawa, KS; sister, Mary Alice Hintz of Ottawa, KS; seven grandchildren, Shanda Gilfert and her husband, Curt, of Leavenworth, KS, Kim Gregg and her husband, Lee, of Ottawa, KS, Janny Rybolt of Wichita, KS, Christina Wolken and her husband, Jason, of Midway Park, NC, Rusty Rybolt of Minnetonka, MN, and his fianc', Ann Koehler, of Maple Grove, MN, Jenny Frenzel and her husband, Tim, of Kansas City, MO, Rocky Rybolt of Walhalla, ND; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Rybolt is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Ethel Rybolt; and two brothers, Alfred W. Rybolt and James L. Rybolt. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from First United Methodist Church in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2007. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Rybolt at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 9:00 a.m. Thursday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8:00 Thursday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
