Harold L. Stults, 55, of Osawatomie, Kansas lost his battle with liver cancer on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. He was born February 12, 1954 to William and Mable Green Stults in Rural Sugar Creek township. In 1978 he was united in marriage to Diana Hoffman in Paola; to this union, two children were born. Harold spent his early working years employed at Gulf Western Welding in Osawatomie, Kansas. He then went on to become a truck driver, working for Miami County for 21 years and at New Century Enterprise in Hillsdale for the last nine years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and going to auctions. He was a Troop Leader for Boy Scout Troops 3105 and 105. Harold spent the last year of his life building his motorcycle trike. Playing Santa Claus every year for family, friends, and the Boy Scouts was especially important to him. Harold also enjoyed camping, watching westerns, farming; any outdoor activity. He enjoyed being with family and friends and would help anyone in need. He is survived by his wife Diana, of the home; Daughter, Tara Ingle and husband John of Spring Hill, Kansas; Son, Harold J. Stults of Lawrence, Kansas; Brothers, Max Stults of San Diego, CA, Mike Stults of Kansas City, MO, Bill Stults of Fort Scott, KS, and Adis Stults of Olathe, KS; one sister; Rita Barnard of Peoria, IL; Mother-in-law, Carolee O"Brien of Osawatomie; four Grandchildren, Madison Stults, Estelle Stults, Michael Ingle, and Mackenzie Ingle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brother, Leonard; half-sister Virginia Majors; nephew, Charlie Hoffman; and father-in-law, Eugene O"Brien. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Miami County Cancer Foundation or the Harold Stults memorial fund to offset funeral expenses.
