Harold Gene Casady, 71, of Pomona, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020, at his home in Pomona, Kansas. He chose to be cremated, Harold was born December 24, 1948, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Coburn W. and Dorothy (Kelley) Parkin. Harold lived most his life in Williamsburg and Pomona areas, living in Pomona since the mid 1990’s. He graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1966. Harold worked for a feed sack production company in Iowa from the 1960’s to early 1970’s and a construction worker for several years in the mid 1970’s to the mid 1990’s. He also worked as a finisher for Midwest Cabinet here in Ottawa, Walmart Distribution Center in shipping and receiving and highway construction as a pilot car flagman. He served in the Army Reserves during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, being called into active duty for several months in 1970. Harold was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Pomona. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a daughter, Christina Ross (Kenny) of Villa Rica, Georgia; sister, Kathy Doffing (Joe) of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Coburn Parkin (Mary Ann) of Williamsburg and Pat Parkin (Pam) of Ottawa; three grandchildren and one great grandson.
