Harold was born July 12, 1933 in Brookfield MO. to Pierson H. and Selma Green Crabtree. He grew up and attended school in the Iconium MO. area for many years. On Feb. 29, 1984 Harold was united in marriage to Melba Hines in Olathe Kansas. They lived in Kansas City, Olathe, and Osawatomie for 22 years before relocating to Louisburg because of the floods in Osawatomie where they lost everything. Harold worked for 32.6 years at the Delco plant in Olathe before retiring in 1986. His hobbies were playing country music with different local bands, camping and fishing with family, bowling, golfing, enjoyed cars, and working with his hands. He was a member of UAW Local 31 and AA. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Sandra St. Denis, and one brother Pierson Crabtree Jr. Survivors are his wife Melba of Richards MO., daughter Kathy Riedel of Independence MO., sons, Harold "Dean" Crabtree Jr. of Overland Park, KS., William "Bill" Crabtree of Belton MO., and Larry Crabtree of Mission KS., 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, 6 step children Patrick Kinney, Michael Kinney, Sharie Coffman, Terry Weis, Diana Brewster and Mary Clark, 13 step grandchildren and 27 step great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
