Harold C. Clilff Baker, age 55, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010. He was born on Thursday, June 10, 1954, in Ottawa, Kansas. He was the son of Nilo L. and Mary Lou (McCurdy) Baker. He was a lifelong resident of Ottawa. Cliff attended Ottawa schools, earning his G.E.D. In the 1980’s, Cliff worked in the fabrication department of Duke Manufacturing; 1990’s, as an assembly worker for Stark Industries; and five years for American Eagle Outfitters, all of Ottawa, retiring in 2009, due to his health. Cliff was a Sgt. E-5 in the United States Army, serving from July of 1974 to November of 1986, stationed in Germany and Texas. He was a member of the United States Bowling Congress. On Thursday, March 15, 1984, Cliff was united in marriage with Susie Nichols in Germany. She survives of their home. He is survived by his wife: Wife-Susie Baker of the home Mother-Mary Lou Baker and her spouse, Ross, of Ottawa, KS Son-Johnny Nichols and his wife, Jessi, of Ottawa, KS Son-Danny Baker and his wife, Diana, of Rantoul, KS Son-Kevin Baker of Ottawa Brother-Ricky McClintic and his wife, Jessie, of Burlington, KS Sister-Nila Eichhorn and her husband, Tom, of Vassar, KS Grandchildren-Eight He is preceded in deathby his: Father-Nilo L. Baker Brother-Terry Baker SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010. IN STATE: Mr. Baker will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 9:00 a.m. Friday to service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7:00 to 8:00 Friday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Franklin County Cancer Foundation, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
