Gwen E. Yeager

Gwen Elaine Yeager, age 55, passed away on August 1, 2009, at her home in LaCygne, KS. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6, at the Penwell-Gabel Louisburg Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 7, at the funeral home, with burial in Louisburg Cemetery. Gwen was born on September 8, 1953, in Garnett, KS, to James Glaze and Shirley Humberd. She graduated from Prairie View High School in 1971 and went to cosmetology school in Olathe, KS. Gwen was united in marriage to Steven Yeager on May 18, 1976. She worked for the Epoch Group for the last several years. Gwen was a member of the Baptist Temple of Louisburg. Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Steven; daughter, Candice Nicole Yeager, and mother, Shirley Howard. Survivors include sons, Brad Schlesener and his wife Kelly of Paola, Scott Schlesener and his wife Nikki, Jeremy Yeager and his wife Lacy, and A.J. Yeager, all of LaCygne; 12 grandchildren; her dad, Harvey Howard, Sr.; her father, James Glaze; brothers, Harvey Howard, Jr., and Robert Howard; and sisters, Gaylen Baker, Rhonda Kerr, Janet Hardesty, Barbara Elliot, Sandy Shadden, and Debbie Wilson.
