Grace Orr

Grace Rosemary Orr, age 82, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2021 at Louisburg Cemetery under the direction of Dengel & Son Mortuary-Crematory, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, KS, 66053 Grace was born Monday, November 7, 1938, in Miami County, KS, the daughter of Ernest and Grace (Palmer) Weers. She was the fourth of their twelve children. She attended school at Bucyrus. Grace was united in marriage to Delbert Prettyman. They had one daughter Deborah. Delbert preceded her in death. She was later married to Gerald Murphy. Together they had three sons Tony, Marcus, and Curtis. She retired as a school bus driver after many years. She was a previous business owner. She loved decorating and remodeling. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was also a very good cook. Survivors include one daughter Deborah Bell of Palmview, TX; three sons Tony (Brenda) Murphy of Basehor, KS, Marcus Murphy of Platte City, MO, and Curtis (Christine) Murphy of Kansas City, KS; 8 siblings Robert (Berneice) Weers, Delores Baert, Joyce (Junior) Yzquierdo, Arnold (Mary Jo) Weers, George (Micki) Weers, Lavene (David) St. Claire, Deeanna (Jim) Ridley, and Gaylee (Ron) Lund; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her spouses Delbert Prettyman and Gerald Murphy. Memorial contributions may be given to Catholic Charities Community Hospice to whom the family would like to give special thanks for their care of Grace.
