Grace Nadine Edgar

Our dear mother Grace Nadine (Hutchison) Edgar, 92 years old, passed away on November 16, 2022, from natural causes at her home in Princeton, Kansas, where she had lived since the early 1990’s. She had a very full life and will be truly remembered by loved ones and friends.

Grace was born in Norwood, Missouri, on October 23, 1930. She was raised by her parents, Thomas and Mrytle (Heath) Hutchison who were dairy farmers. Grace married George Edgar from Fort Scott, Kansas, on December 30, 1950. They had five children and settled in Olathe, Kansas to raise their family.

Grace was predeceased by her husband, father, mother, and her siblings, Hazel Hobart, Springfield, MO; Doris Brixey, Norwood, MO; Golda Hutchison, Norwood, MO; and Walter Hutchison, Ava, MO. Surviving family members include brothers, Darrel (Carolyn) Hutchison, Ava, MO; and Ray Douglas Hutchison, Ava, MO. Also surviving are children, Linda (Bill) Pinkerton, Colorado Springs, CO; Richard Edgar, Princeton, KS; Charles (Deborah) Edgar, Murphy, NC; Martha (Rick) Despard, Palm Harbor, FL; and Donald Edgar, Princeton, KS. Grace left behind 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.

The family will meet with friends at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the funeral.

Interment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas.
