Glendonna L. Ottaway, 49, of Centropolis, Kansas died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Olathe Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Ottaway at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 14, 2014, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday. Glendonna was born on Tuesday, January 5, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Robert and Emilee (Stuteville) Kohenskey. She was raised in Edgar Springs moving to Leavenworth, Kansas and then Centropolis where she has lived for twenty-two years. She graduated from Leavenworth High School, Leavenworth, Kansas with the class of 1983, and continued her education in law enforcement in Topeka. On February 14, 1991 Glendonna was united in marriage with Brian Ottaway in Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of their home. Survivors also include her three children, Aaron Williams and wife Jenna of Ottawa, Justin Williams of Overland Park, Kansas, and Brianna Ottaway of Centropolis; siblings, Steve Buckner and wife Pat, Rhonda Fox and husband John, and Amanda Brown and husband Arth all of Edgar Springs, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Alexis, Baili, Kaylee, and Ryker Williams, and Christian, Dakota, Landon, and Naomi Williams; and mother, Emilee Freeman and husband Dale of Edgar Springs. She was preceded in death by her father in 1995; and step-brother, Gary Freeman in 2013. Glendonna was a homemaker and also worked as a production supervisor for Frito Lay in Topeka for four years. She was a coach at Wal-Mart Distribution Center #6035, Ottawa; security guard for the Topeka School District and later for the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in DeSoto; and a prison guard for Lansing Correctional Facility in Lansing.
