Glen W. Callahan, 65 ,of Garnett, Kansas died on Monday, August 20, 2007 at at his residence in Garnett, Kansas. He was the son of Tom Callahan and Violet (Sanders) Callahan. He was born on Wednesday, March 11, 1942, in Tuckerman, Arkansas. Glen's family moved to Independence, Missouri and then to the Pomona, Kansas area in 1960. As a young couple, he and his wife moved to Missouri for a year and then came back to Kansas and settled in Wellsville, where they lived for fourteen years. They lived in Louisburg and LaCygne for a period of time and then moved back to Missouri before returning to Kansas in 1993 and moved to Garnett in 2003. Glen graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, Missouri with the class of 1960. He worked for Pepsi Cola and Delco Battery for several years. He then worked as a finishing carpenter and then for American Family as an insurance agent from 1980 until 1986. He also worked for Ronoco Coffee Company and from there went back into construction work as a finishing carpenter. He worked for the Franklin County Transfer Station before becoming disabled in 1998. He had a love for country and gospel music. He and his wife had a country band called
