Gladys J. Welton, 92, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the mortuary. Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. Gladys was born Monday, October 9, 1922, in Beaver County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Roy Henry and Mildred May (Land) Louderback. She lived in the Princeton, Kansas area during her childhood, in the Franklin County area when married, moving to Ottawa in 1956. She graduated from Princeton High School with the class of 1941. Gladys was united in marriage with Wauren Welton September 20, 1941, in Ottawa. He preceded her in death September 9, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mildred Louderback; daughter, Connie Milberger; and three brothers, Chester, George and Elmer Louderback. Survivors include her two sons, Roger Welton and wife Donna of Ottawa and John Welton and wife Tammy of Cullman, Alabama; son-in-law, Jerry Milberger of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jeff Welton and wife Stacy of Pomona, Wendy Rossman and husband Tim of Ottawa, Alicia Deaton and husband Chris of Smithville, Missouri, Robert Wilbanks and wife Erika of Corsicana, Texas, Will Clayton and wife Tara of Cullman, Alabama, Benjamin Welton and wife Melissa of Cullman, Alabama, and Toby Welton and wife Areil also of Cullman, Alabama; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Gladys was employed at Mode O Day as a seamstress from 1957 to 1958 and H. D. Lee Company as a quality control supervisor from 1963 until retiring in 1985. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Friendly Circle Sunday School Class, Royal Neighbors Lodge, Zigzag Sewing Club, Ottawa Aerie Lodge 2700 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Pinochle Card Club, and Hope Society. Gladys loved her family and grandchildren, fishing and taking long walks. She was a volunteer at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Hope House and for church activities. Gladys’ loss is felt by all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed. The family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
