Gerald V. Edgerton

Gerald Vernon Edgerton, 71, of Topeka, Kansas, formerly of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Plaza West Regional Health Center, Topeka. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Private interment Antioch Cemetery, Homewood. Gerald was born December 30, 1945 in Homewood, Kansas, the son of George V. and Mabel A. (Dial) Edgerton. He grew up in Ottawa and lived many years in Manhattan, Kansas. Survivors include his two sisters, Georgianna Buresh of Topeka and Elsie Slifer of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mabel Edgerton. Gerald was employed at Big Lakes Developmental Center and Kansas State University greenhouse, both of Manhattan, where he did janitorial and gardening work.
