Georgia Mae Ball

Georgia Mae Ball, age 93, of Princeton, Kansas died on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the daughter of Earl Alex Brown and Iva (Hill) Brown.  She was born on Saturday, October 16, 1915, in Pomona, Kansas.  Georgia was a life-long Franklin County resident moving to Princeton in 1985 from Ottawa.  She attended Lincoln and Sand Creek schools in Franklin County, Kansas.  For thirty years, Georgia was a clerk at Waymire Grocery Store in Ottawa, Kansas.  In November of 2008, she retired from Ottawa Country Mart, where she was a food hostess for nineteen years. Georgia was a member of the Princeton Christian Church.  For forty-four years she was a member of the Kansas State Horse Show Circuit.  On May 5, 1935 Georgia was with united in marriage with John W. Ball at Ottawa.  He preceded her in death on June 20, 1989. Survivors include:Son-Donald Ball and his wife Mary of Wellsville, Kan. Son-Ronald Ball and his wife Wilma of Princeton, Kan. Daughter-Sharon Higgins and her husband Donn of Princeton, Kan. Sister-Joan Johnson of Pomona, Kan. Sister-Mary Lamb and her husband Ed of Osawatomie, Kan. Brother-Ray Brown and his wife Kim of Lawrence, Kan. Grandchildren-Four Great Grandchildren-Nine Great Great Grandchildren-Four    She was preceded in death by:Father-Mr. Earl Alex Brown Mother-Iva Brown Husband-John W. Ball Brother-Mr. Earl Roy Brown Sister-Edna Reeves Sister-Jesse McCarthney Sister-Jean Ward SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008.  IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Ball at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m.  to the service hour where the family will meet with friends 7-8 Monday evening. CEMETERY: Princeton Cemetery, Princeton Kansas. MEMORIALS:  The family suggests memorials to Princeton Christian Church c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
