Georgette Marie Feuerborn was born on Thursday, July 6, 1922, in Saint Agathe, Maine. She was the daughter of Eloi and Modeste (Chasse) Bosse. Georgette moved from Maine to Ottawa in 1952, where she made her home until her death Friday, November 2, 2007, at the age of eighty-five years. Georgette graduated from Winslow (Maine) High School with the class of 1941. She worked in assembly for King Radio in Ottawa from 1975 to 1988. During World War II, she was a welder at Groton Shipyard in Connecticut. She also worked at Colt Munitions as an assembler and machine gun tester. Georgette was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Altar Society in Ottawa; Navy Mothers' Club; and Twin Mothers' Club. Georgette was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was so proud of her family and always loved seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Such a caring person, she enjoyed visiting with her friends and helping anyone who needed her. On July 11, 1951, Georgette was united in marriage with Raymond E. Feuerborn in Bangor, Maine. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1977. She is also preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters. Mrs. Feuerborn is survived by three sons, David Sullivan and his wife, Charity, of Freeport, Illinois, Hubert H. Feuerborn of Kansas City, Missouri, Ray D. Feuerborn and his wife, Sue, of Cedarville, Illinois; two daughters, Raylene Carter of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Joni M. Prue of Richmond, Kansas; three grandsons, Larry Stussie, Kenny Bissell, Steve Bissell; seven granddaughters, Theresa Loftis, Brandi Bastin, Dezirae Zook, Staci Feuerborn, Mandi Carter, Amy McFadden, Katie Prue; and seventeen great grandchildren. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2007. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Feuerborn at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 9 a.m. Monday to the service hour, where a family will meet with friends 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. CEMETERY: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Kansas Chapter Patriot Guard, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
